An unexpected and delightful blend. I feel like I've walked into a Bosnian restaurant with the layers of spice, warmth, and smoky depth all unfolding at once. The pepper, ginger, and saffron sparkle like freshly toasted masala while the black tea note quietly lingers in the background like a cup of chai poured at the table. As it dries down, the woods, tobacco, and musk give it that smoldering, tandoor-oven feel. It's tandoorific and reminiscent of Masque Milano's Russian Tea with an East Indian spice. The hyrax is the star of the dry down and overshadows the amber on my skin.
I honestly can’t remember how I stumbled across this house. Maybe a late-night rabbit hole, maybe divine intervention from the Spice Girls Gods, but I’m glad I did.
Reminds me of sitting in a cabin in the dark woods while drinking hot tea.
Pictura Fragrans did an amazing job with Animal Epice. Bravo.
